What if We Could Improve Customer Reach… and Give YOU the Chance to Win $1,000 in Rent!

Recently, our team kicked off our first ever design sprint – a week-long project that a cross-functional team including company leadership, developers, customer service and marketing tackles a project. By working together in a design sprint, we are actively identifying and developing solutions to critical business challenges to make our service the best it can be for you.

To do this, we utilized GV’s The Design Sprint methodology, a 5-day process where we rapidly design and test ideas. And in the process, we are able to gain valuable insights from our customers on what does and does not work.

Through this process, we imagined the “what if we could” scenarios – what if we could make it easier for our customers to know about our referral program, and what if our customers could then easily refer their friends and family?

The design thinking process led us to prototyping a sweepstakes program that you can participate in: Current and prospective customers can enter to win $1,000 towards their monthly rent, and those who entered can then receive additional entries into the sweepstakes by having their friends and family also enter using their unique referral code.

We also decided to hold the sweepstakes every month and add the sweepstakes to the main navigation of our website. Entrants will have a unique dashboard that they could then access to see how many entries they have into the sweepstakes.

By coming together to gain insights and understand our key business challenge, we were able to test, design and prototype a solution tailor made for our customers.
