I found myself unemployed, and as a result, I fell behind on my mortgage payments. I tried different loan modifications to keep my home, but that only made my situation worse, as my credit score plummeted due to all the hard credit inquiries. When it was all said and done, my credit score went down to 485!

I decided to do some additional research, and in the process, read about RentReporters while looking online. Before that, I didn’t know that my rent payments could be reported to increase my credit score. Even my real estate agent didn’t know about reporting rent payments.

I signed up in August 2016, and my score went up in about a month. Today, my score is now in the high 600s!

I was in a pretty bad car accident – my car was totaled and I had to take medical leave from work. I decided I needed to do something to improve my credit score because if I didn’t, I would not be able to get a new car.

With my new and improved score after signing up for RentReporters, I was able to get a new car! And now that I have a better understanding of how credit works and what I can do to maintain my score, I am focused on cleaning up my credit, paying all my bills on time, and staying on top of what’s in my credit report.

I’m a disabled veteran. As the doctor bills piled up and I had difficulty keeping up with those payments, my credit score took a hit. And with my low credit score, I was denied credit cards. Also, I wanted to buy a home, but I knew that I wouldn’t be approved for the best deal with my low credit score.

I signed up for RentReporters in March, and today, my credit score has improved by 87 points!
